Child Care Lead Infant Teacher - Year Round/Full Time - Breckenridge

Job Responsibilities:
Administers quality care and exceptional experiences for employee and guest children ages 0 – 18 months
Creates detailed and age appropriate lesson plans covering all curriculum areas related to weekly and monthly themes; familiar with Developmentally Appropriate Practices and the Project Approach
Completes current development logs for employee children (weekly entries required); Establishes goals for each employee child and addresses each child’s goals within the lesson plan activities
Maintains accurate records of daily schedules for each child Is able to problem solve with sad and difficult children while remaining calm
Communicates effectively with co-workers, parents, and supervisors; Provides effective and thorough check-ins and check-outs with employee and guest parents including report cards for each guest child
Capable of working in a team environment; including flexibility of working at other child care centers when needed
Maintains a safe, organized and comfortable environment
Contributes to the daily tasks for the center including cleaning schedules, dishes, laundry, etc…
Occasional front desk and phone coverage at times

Job Requirements:
ECE 101 and ECE 111 REQUIRED! Must meet education requirements according to Colorado State Child Care Licensing Rules & Regulations for Early Childhood Teachers; contact CDHS for more details
Minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 months old in a group setting is required; experience with guest services preferred
Colorado State Early Childhood Teacher Qualified; Colorado State Infant Supervisor Qualified; Level I Credential required within 6 months of employment
Familiarity with Word and Outlook; capable of typing letters to parents and e-mailing co-workers, parents and other departments
Fluent English required
Changing diapers required
Able to lift 50lbs or more required
15 contact hours of continuing education required each calendar year; must be capable of multi-tasking
Creativity with children and curriculum preferred
