Description: Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver is an exemplary program designed for gifted children. Ricks Center provides nationally recognized gifted education to approximately 250 students ranging from ages three years old through eighth grade who show exceptional, differentiated abilities and learning needs.
The Ricks Center is seeking a Child Care Director qualified teacher for before and after school program, 2012-2013 school year.
Responsibilities include managing and supervising the Before and After School Child Care Program for Ricks Center students. Other duties include monitoring and recording children’s development in academic, social, emotional and physical areas, providing general parental support and working with the classroom teachers to provide a well-rounded view of the student.
Monday- Friday, Part-time, Benefited, Competitive Salary range
Required qualifications
-Director Qualification from the Colorado Division of Childcare
-CPR and First Aid Certification from the Red Cross
-Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
-1-3 years experience in a licensed child care setting
-Valid teaching certificate or license
- Experience teaching gifted children
